Where integrated learning advances human potential

Wittenberg Students WalkingThe School of Health, Education, and Sport Studies prepares students with a solid foundation in how people learn, grow, perform, and thrive in classrooms, communities, and in every stage of life. Using a combination of rigorous scientific inquiry and hands-on, practical experience, faculty partner with students in exploring and tackling today’s challenges in education, wellness, health care, athletics, and more, ever mindful of the youth and adults they serve.

Consistent with Wittenberg’s value of compassion, which calls the University to educate the mind to know and the heart to care, students in School of Health, Education, and Sport Studies are also inspired to see the people behind each desk, each face, each profession,. How can they reach their fullest potential? What boundaries limit their flourishing? How can humans be stronger internally and externally? Such questions guide immersive, 1:1 learning so students graduate ready to lead and succeed.

Through personal attention, leadership development, and multiple engagement options, including the chance to conduct research in the first year, students also build confidence, knowing that they can influence the human experience in all its forms.

Success Stats: Wittenberg's nursing program enjoys a 100% test passage rate and employment rate post-graduation. The University's education program does as well.
